Most people don't know about Jolly's Mill Pond's connection to early Williamsburg, Virginia. It's connected to the freed Black settlement at Freedom Park to the north, to Greenspring Plantation to the south, and to Colonial Williamsburg...


We're constantly peeling back the layers of this history. One moment, we're discovering something about the enslaved and free workers who shaped this property. The next, we're learning about the indentured servants who worked in the gristmill or that Angi is the second Black owner of the pond in its 200-year history.
