As far as we know, our land hasn't been actively farmed in about 100 years... We've changed that.

In Spring 2023, we cleared part of a forest, cut the brush and started growing! Not to mention, we added chickens and heritage turkeys to the farm.

We're strong believers in sustainable agriculture so we grow organically, use rain catchment systems and solar power whenever possible.

Naturally, this has evolved into something that combines our love of sustainable agriculture and history... the upcoming
Jolly's Mill Pond Heritage Center.

Native American Culinary Heritage

In our research, we've discovered the Paspahegh tribe lived in our area until the early 1600s. They were one of many Native American tribes who lived in our region over the centuries. What foods did they cultivate? How did they cook everyday food or food for special occasions? We'll explore these topics with hands-on classes and events.

Black Culinary Heritage

In the 18th and 19th century, what foods did the average person grow? What special meals were prepared for the holidays?

We'll explore these questions and more with our  2024 immersive classes and events.
